Political campaigning.
The first Tuesday of November 2016 is a year and 3 months away and the race for the presidential orb and scepter has been in full heat for months already. When did the starting gun fire? The day after the 2014 mid-terms. When did the starting gun for that race go off? The day after the 2012 general election. It's non stop racing. Like six day bicycle races only infinite.
Also, there's money. Lots of it. By some estimates, close to $10 billion will be spent on this edition of "So You Want to be President!" I'll go out on a limb here and prophecy that most or all of that money will have been wasted, and that after the last victory balloon has shriveled on the campaign headquarters floor nothing will change. Congress will still be beholden to monied interests. Oh, yes they'll put on a serious face, tune up stentorian voices, and profess allegiance to We the People, they'll say that job one is to make a Better America for all Americans, make America Strong Again, Take Back America from whoever is now holding her hostage. But most of the $10 billion thrown at the new graduates of Clown College did not come from We the People. Since SCOTUS decided that money is speech, those with more of it are more convincing than those with little of it. And the majority of Americans have little of it.
Speaking of Clown College here are the leading members of the Class of 2016.
